The new way to socially network, Twitter, is catching on fast, with celebrities such as Stephen Fry, William Shatner and Chris Moyles adopting this new (years old) way of sharing information and driving more subscribers.
For most sites, based on current trends, this eventually ruins a site as they reach saturation point and then make changes to try and keep people interested (see MySpace, Facebook in a few months), and eventually people will move on to the next big thing… (twitter?)
Thing is… do people get it?
I’ve had multiple people ask me “how do I use it?”, “what’s it for?” and “how do you use the @?” (answers here). These ‘complications’ could be Twitter’s saving grace – Is it too complicated to be adopted by the mainstream?
And – is this a good thing? Will more people ruin it? or turn it into the best social tool or news source on the web?
